The Oils n Oils blend combines Omegas with Coconut Oil for some amazing benefits.

Omega 3 – EPA & DHA are found in fish, and they are called essential fatty acids as the body cannot produce them. Omega 3 can help to lower triglycerides that are associated with blood fat (which can cause heart disease). It is also crucial for puppy development; DHA is needed for visual and neurological development. It is recommended to supplement puppies with Omega 3 oils.

Omega 6 – These fatty acids can also not be produced by the body; however, they are still very important to the health of our dogs. Omega 6 also has an important role in brain function, growth & development. They also help to stimulate the skin, help with hair growth, maintain bone health, maintain the reproductive system and regulate metabolism. Playing a part in cell growth is also another one of its main features. (This makes it important for mothers their newborn pups for muscle and brain development!) Finally, Omega 6 also helps in the production of hormone-like messengers which can trigger immune responses, reduce fluid accumulation and brain disorders. They help the body with pain-related signals including swelling, blood vessel spasms, blood thinning, pain and accumulation of inflamed cells. These signals prevent further injury.

Omega 9 – This Omega is not technically an essential fatty acid, as they body can produce small amounts of it. However, it can still be beneficial to supplement as it is used to build Omega 3s and 6s. Omega 9 helps to promote healthy inflammatory responses and helps in the production of prostaglandins (these initiate inflammation).

Coconut oil – Coconut oil is arguably the most nutritious and has many health benefits. It has antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial properties. It can also kill the bacteria that causes throat infections, UTIs, pneumonia and ulcers. It has also been effective in eliminating yeast and fungi that causes thrush and ringworm. It also helps to absorb other minerals.
