The Best Buddies Program is aimed at dogs from 4 to 6 months of age and really combines the best parts of our Wonder Pup and Master Class Programs.

The first 16 weeks of a puppy’s life are called the Critical Periods of Development. During this time, puppies are particularly receptive to socialisation, learning, and establishing behaviours that will shape them into well-adjusted adult dogs. Whilst your pup is a fraction older, we still have an awesome opportunity to capture and develop amazing behaviours and can take you all the way through to competition level training should you wish.

Our trainers are Nationally Accredited in both Training and Behaviour and are dedicated to working with you and your pup to develop effective training solutions. You and your pup will gain valuable skills and experiences that promote positive leadership, behaviour and social skills, setting a solid foundation for their future.

To begin your training journey, we will get you to bring your puppy to the MK9 Training Centre located in Glenella for an Initial Consult. This session typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours and is valued at $250. (At home consults may be available by request)

The Initial Consult gives us the opportunity to meet you and your pup and assess your pup’s behaviour and temperament. This then allows us to build and customise your one-on-one training program based on your puppy’s unique traits and personality.

The consult also includes a training session where we start to introduce Reward Systems and building the Foundations of Obedience. This foundation work is essential in setting the stage for successful behaviour and obedience training in the future. We will also go over any challenges that you may be facing and address any specific concerns you may have.

If you choose to continue with training, this will be followed by our 6-week Best Buddies Program, valued at $725.00. We are more than happy to offer personalised payment plans, allowing you to make weekly instalments over the duration of your program.

Once you have completed your Training Program, you are welcome to join our small and structured Group Classes. These classes are designed to reinforce your pup’s newly acquired skills while providing valuable opportunities for socialisation and real-world practice in a controlled environment.

In addition to Group Classes, we also offer Private Coaching lessons tailored to your specific needs. Whether you want to address particular challenges, refine advanced skills, or simply continue building on the foundations established during your program, our Private Coaching is a fantastic option.
