Best Buddies

The Best Buddies Program is aimed at dogs from 5 to 6 months of age and is the next level of training up from our Wonder Pups and really combines the best parts of our Wonder Pup and our Older Dog Programs.

The first 16 weeks of a puppy’s life are called the Critical Periods of Development and are instrumental to how they will develop as an adult dog. Every experience and emotional response during this time has the ability to last a lifetime. Whilst your pup is a fraction older, we have this awesome opportunity to capture and develop amazing behaviours and can take you all the way through to competition level training should you wish.
We are balanced trainers Nationally Accredited in both Training and Behaviour and are open to using to right tools, systems and techniques for you and your dog.

To begin your Training journey, we will either come to your home or get you to bring your dog to the Mackay K9 Training Centre in Glenella and hold an Initial Consult. This runs from 1.5 to 2 hours and is valued at $250.

Please note: Payment for Initial Consults are required within 24 hours. We have limited appointments and these book out for at least 5 weeks in advance.

The Initial Consult gives us the opportunity to meet yourself and your dog and through a Behavioural and Temperament Assessment gain a better understanding of your dog’s traits and personality and any issues they may be facing. The Consult also includes a Training session where we will start to work on any specific issues as well starting to lay the foundations of Reward Systems, Engagement Training and Obedience.
If you would like to continue with training this is then followed up by our 6-week Best Buddies Training Program which is valued at $725.00. We are more than happy to arrange personalised payment plans which will consist of weekly installments over the duration of your program.

Your program will include:
